In the present context of rising unemployment, employment abroad is the main ray of hope for the young people of Nepal and certainly it has become the backbone of Nepal’s economy. Foreign Employment Agencies have played a vital role in the national economy as the national economy has not been able to absorb the emerging labor force within the country. These companies have been instrumental in exploring and providing employment opportunities to thousands of Nepalese workers in different countries around the world.

Consequently, remittance has become an important factor in keep the nation solvent even during the current crisis. Given the employment situation, we need to go further in exploring the opportunities for overseas employment. It is important to ensure that the Nepalese workers are placed in a safe working environment. Risks of foreign employment should be minimized and benefits should be maximized as for as possible. Equally important is to ensure that the whole process is made more transparent and the credibility of all the agencies involved is enhanced.
